Tragedy at Glasgow DJ Event: Two 18-Year-Olds Die
Police in Glasgow are probing the shocking deaths of two 18-year-old lads who both attended the same DJ night. Questions mount over whether drugs played a part and if the deaths are connected.
First Victim Collapses at Train Station
The grim sequence began around 11:20pm on Saturday at Croy train station in North Lanarkshire, where the first young man suddenly fell ill. Despite rushed medical care, he tragically died after being taken to hospital.
Second Attendee Falls Ill at SWG3
Just hours later at 2:20am on Sunday, the second 18-year-old was struck down at the SWG3 music venue on Eastvale Place – the same place where both had been watching DJ Ben Hemsley perform. Sadly, he also passed away after medical treatment failed to save him.
Venue and Police Launch Full Investigation
SWG3 quickly issued a heartfelt statement, offering condolences to the families and promising full cooperation with the police probe.
“We are deeply saddened by these tragic events and are doing everything we can to assist the authorities in uncovering the facts,” said a spokesperson.
Police Scotland confirmed an active investigation is underway, focusing on the circumstances around the illnesses and deaths. Officials say more information will emerge as they dig deeper into this heartbreaking case.
