Police Release E-Fit After Man Approaches 10-Year-Old Boy in Southampton

Hampshire Police have launched a hunt for a man who approached a 10-year-old boy near Shirley Park Junior School on Monday afternoon. The shocking incident happened just after 3.30pm on Bellemoor Road.

Man Puts Arms Around Boy Before Walking Off

The suspect, described as a black man with a beard, wearing a black t-shirt and blue skinny jeans, reportedly put his arms around the boy before letting him go and walking off towards Hill Lane. Police quickly scrambled officers to search the area.

Community Put on Alert – Extra Police Patrols Ongoing

Southampton West Neighbourhood Policing Team have stepped up patrols around the school while investigations continue. Officials urge residents to stay vigilant but calm. “We understand these reports cause concern, so we’re working hard to keep the community safe and reassured,” said a police spokesperson.
