Assault on Train Staff Sparks Police Hunt Between Kirkby-in-Ashfield and Mansfield Woodhouse

The British Transport Police (BTP) have launched an urgent investigation after a male passenger attacked a staff member on a train travelling between Kirkby-in-Ashfield and Mansfield Woodhouse.

Man Abuses and Pushes Staff Member, Causing Knee Injury

The incident unfolded around 8:50pm on Sunday, March 3. The suspect verbally abused a member of staff before physically pushing them, injuring the victim’s knee. The aggressor then fled the train at Mansfield Woodhouse station at roughly 9:00pm.

Police Release Image, Seek Public’s Help

Police have since released an image of the man they believe may hold key information about the assault. BTP are urging anyone who recognises him or witnessed the incident to come forward immediately.
