Police Hunt Man Who Approached 11-Year-Old Girl Near Southampton School
Officers are urgently seeking witnesses after a creepy encounter in Southampton. Just before 11am on Thursday, October 20, police responded to reports that a suspicious man approached an 11-year-old girl at around 8.30am while she was walking to Oasis Academy on 1 Road.
Man Spotted Near School
The suspect is described as a black male, about 30 years old, standing 5ft 11ins tall with an average build. He has a wide nose, thick small lips, and sports grade 1 shaved black or dark brown hair. A notable detail: he had a black ear spacer.
At the time, he wore a light-coloured woven jumper.
Girl’s Description
The girl is white with long shoulder-length hair worn down. She was dressed in a dark blue school blazer, white shirt, black trousers, and plain black trainers.
Police Seek Witnesses
Detective Constable Simon Bembridge said: “We have been in the area carrying out routine enquiries and reassurance patrols. We are also working with the local school to ascertain the exact circumstances of the incident.”
