Police Launch Manhunt After Maidstone Woman Sexually Attacked
A terrifying sex attack has sparked a police hunt in Maidstone after a woman was targeted while walking home just after midnight.
Attack in Early Hours on Waterlow Road
The victim was making her way home through Waterlow Road around 12:30am on Saturday 18 July 2020 when the horror unfolded.
A man is said to have followed her briefly before launching the assault near a car park by flats at Walsingham House.
Suspect Description Released
Police describe the attacker as a white male in his 20s, about 5ft 8ins tall, with a slim build. He had a dark goatee beard and short cropped hair. At the time, he wore dark shorts and a top.
Investigation Underway
Officers are hunting for clues, running forensic tests, reviewing CCTV, and interviewing locals to track down the predator.
Detective Constable Paul Wells, from the West Kent Vulnerability Investigation Team, said: “The suspect was spotted approaching the victim near some garages and a large skip bag. After the attack, he fled toward Wheeler Street. His distinct look means we urge anyone who saw him or has any details to come forward.”
