Body found at Woodham Lock named
Surrey Police have released the identity of the man found dead in the Basingstoke Canal at Woodham Lock on Saturday, 15 July. He is 34-year-old Asif Ali Nawaz from Lockwood Path, Woking.
Investigation ongoing
The lock has now been fully reopened, but officers are still probing the circumstances surrounding Asif’s death. Police say they are keeping an open mind and no further details have been released yet.
