Young Woman Found Distressed on Cycle Path

The victim told officers she was forced into an orange van by a stranger earlier that afternoon in Station Road, sometime between 3pm and 4pm. She was then driven to nearby woodland where she suffered a physical assault before managing to flee.

Officers Scramble to Identify Suspect

Detective Inspector Dal Andrews said: “This was a very distressing incident for the woman involved. We have officers combing the area for clues, reviewing CCTV and doorbell camera footage, and carrying out house-to-house enquiries to piece together what happened.”

He added: “We’re working closely with the victim to pinpoint the exact timeline and location and to gather more information about the man responsible.”

Police urge anyone with CCTV or doorbell footage from Station Road and surrounding streets to come forward immediately.

Community on Alert as Police Boost Patrols
