Brutal Tunnel Attack in Portsmouth: Police Hunt Trio After Two Men Assaulted

Two men were viciously attacked in a Portsmouth tunnel in the early hours of Thursday, March 29. The assault happened around 1.30am in the passage linking Gunwharf Quays to The Hard.

Victims Left Injured and Police Hunting Suspects

One victim, aged 31, was knocked unconscious and rushed to QA Hospital. The second, a 40-year-old man, was also beaten by the group but survived.

Police Appeal for Witnesses

Officers want to speak to three people spotted near the scene. They may hold vital clues to crack the case. If you recognise them, call police on 101 immediately.

Arrests Made But Inquiry Continues

  • A 24-year-old Portsmouth man has been arrested for grievous bodily harm with intent and is still in custody.
  • A 21-year-old man was also arrested but released without charge.
