Police Urgently Hunt Mother of Baby M Found Abandoned in Manor Park

Police are racing against time to find the mother of Baby M, whose body was discovered in Manor Park last Friday afternoon. Officers are deeply concerned for her wellbeing and want to ensure she receives urgent medical care.

When and Where Was Baby M Left?

Investigations suggest Baby M was left in the park between Sunday, May 14 and Tuesday, May 16. There’s also a strong possibility the baby was born just outside the park, under an oak tree, before being placed inside the park where the body was found.

Chief Inspector Issues Plea

“Our priority remains finding the mother of Baby M and as each day passes, we are growing more and more concerned for her welfare,” said Chief Inspector Debbie Brooks.

“We understand this is a distressing time, but we want the mother to get the urgent medical care she needs. If you are reading this and you need help, please call 101 or visit a hospital immediately.”

She added: “We want to thank the community for their support so far as officers continue to patrol the Manor Park area, speaking to locals and park users to piece together what happened.”

Community Support Needed: Spot Something? Say Something!

Officers are calling on anyone who was in Manor Park or nearby between May 14 and May 16 to come forward. If you saw anything unusual or noticed someone acting suspiciously, your tip could be crucial.

“No detail is too small,” stressed Chief Inspector Brooks. “If you have concerns about a friend or relative, please contact us now. Your information could save a life.”
