Hit-and-Run Horror in Saltdean: Elderly Woman Injured
Police are hunting the driver of a dark blue car involved in a collision with an 83-year-old woman in Saltdean. The crash happened at 9:30 AM on Wednesday, June 5th, at the busy junction of Chichester Drive East and the A259 Marine Drive.
Woman Suffers Broken Hip After Being Struck
The car hit the woman as it turned from Marine Drive into the junction. The driver briefly stopped, and it was first thought the injuries were minor. But shockingly, officers later confirmed she suffered a broken hip in the smash.
Police Plea: Driver and Witnesses Come Forward
Paul Wood from the Collision Process Unit said: “We are asking for the driver of the blue car involved to come forward and would also like to hear from any other witnesses who saw the collision or have any dashcam footage.”
