Urgent Hunt for Trio Over Hackney Stabbing Murder

Detectives are scrambling to find three men linked to the brutal stabbing murder of 20-year-old Jason Romeo in Hackney.

Jason was fatally stabbed outside a Bodney Street home at 5:59 PM on Tuesday, February 18. Paramedics rushed to the scene but sadly, he was pronounced dead on the spot.

Three Suspects Wanted

  • Raynolph Asante, 22
  • Rhamyah Bailey-Edwards, 21
  • Travis Mitchell, 21

All three are known to frequent Hackney, Walthamstow, and Deptford. Police are urging the public not to approach them.

Police Plea to the Public

Detective Superintendent Kelly Allen said: “Our team is working tirelessly to identify those responsible for Jason’s tragic death. We now need the public’s help to trace Asante, Bailey-Edwards, and Mitchell. I urge anyone with information to call 999 immediately.”

“We know how shocked the community is. Officers are stepping up weapons searches, patrols, and door-to-door enquiries. We appreciate your patience as we bring those responsible to justice.”

  • Tip-offs can also be given anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
  • Information can also be shared via the Metropolitan Police’s website.
  • Anyone who was near Bodney Street at the time or has dashcam or CCTV footage is urged to come forward.
