A heartbreaking crash involving an undercover police car on Thursday evening has claimed the lives of a heavily pregnant woman and her unborn child. The smash happened around 6:30 PM near the Texaco station at the A2 junction close to Kidbrooke Park Road, SE9.
Eyewitness Describes Terrifying Scene
An anonymous witness revealed the chaos after the pregnant woman’s car was slammed and rolled three times across the pavement. Emergency crews from the London Ambulance Service and the Helicopter Emergency Medical Service (HEMS) raced to the scene.
Paramedics attempted a roadside emergency Caesarean in a desperate bid to save the unborn baby. Despite their heroic efforts, both mother and child were sadly pronounced dead at the scene due to severe injuries.
