Tragic Blaze in Stanwell
A deadly fire tore through a home in Holywell Way, Stanwell, this afternoon. Surrey Police are teaming up with Surrey Fire and Rescue Service to probe the fatal blaze.
Firefighters Face Tough Battle
Emergency crews rushed to the scene just before midday on 14 April, only to find the house engulfed in flames. The fire left the property severely damaged and caused harm to neighbouring homes.
Due to the extensive damage, searching the upstairs was tricky. When firefighters finally gained access, a body was tragically discovered.
Investigation Underway
Next of kin have been informed. The cause of the fire remains a mystery. Officers are expected to stay on site until at least tomorrow, working to make the building safe for further investigation.
