Dorset Police and Council Boost Summer Safety on Bournemouth Seafront
Dorset Police and BCP Council have joined forces to keep Bournemouth safe this summer. Patrols by seafront and town rangers, security staff, and police officers have ramped up to offer quick help and emergency support.
On-the-Spot Help from Rangers, Police, and Lifeguards
Whether you’re worried about your own safety or someone else’s, these teams are ready to assist. They can contact emergency services, help reunite lost friends or family, and provide reassurance. RNLI lifeguards are also on hand, with their beach towers serving as safe hubs to raise concerns or seek aid.
Missing Kids? Grab a Free LV= KidZone Wristband
The popular LV= KidZone wristband scheme is back for summer, focused on preventing lost children and vulnerable adults. Visitors can pick up free wristbands from LV= KidZone staff, seafront rangers, and RNLI towers to aid swift reunions if anyone goes missing.
Police and Council: “We’re Here to Keep You Safe”
Neighbourhood Inspector Darren Harris said: “We’ve strengthened partnerships and stepped up patrols across Bournemouth’s town centres and beaches. High-visibility police presence will continue all summer to keep everyone safe.”
BCP Council’s Community Safety boss, Councillor May Haynes, added: “Safety is our priority. We urge residents and visitors to use these services if they need help with lost children or any anti-social behaviour. Getting help quickly is vital.”
The Multi-Agency Command Centre (MACC) in Bournemouth ensures rapid response by coordinating all safety resources. So this summer, keep calm and reach out – Bournemouth’s safety team has got your back!
