Speedy Maidstone Chase Nets Drugs and Knife Haul
Plain-clothes officers in Maidstone scored a major win in the fight against drugs and knife crime after a high-speed pursuit ended with a haul of heroin, crack cocaine, and a knife. A 35-year-old local man was arrested following the dramatic chase.
Officers Spot Suspicious Behaviour
On Monday 29 April at 1.30pm, police on Station Road noticed suspicious activity. When officers approached, the suspect took off running but was quickly tackled and arrested on Royal Engineers’ Road.
Drugs and Weapon Seized After Search
After the arrest, a nearby search uncovered discarded packets of suspected drugs. Police also raided an address in Drawbridge Close, uncovering SIM cards and a knife.
Ongoing Probe and Police Partnership
The 35-year-old man remains under investigation and has been bailed to return to the station in May. Kent Police continues to team up with British Transport Police and neighbouring forces to clamp down on drug supply and knife offences.
This arrest is part of our ongoing effort to reduce knife crime and related crime in the Maidstone area,” said a Kent Police spokesperson.
