Police Launch Hunt for Suspect in Maidstone Rape Case
Detectives are investigating after a woman was reportedly raped in Maidstone in the early hours of Sunday 10 November 2019. The attack took place in Brenchley Gardens between 2am and 3.10am.
Victim Lured to Park by Stranger
The victim, a woman in her late teens, was walking through the park with the suspect when he allegedly assaulted her. The man is described as white, early 20s, around 5ft 4in tall, with dark hair and a short dark beard. He wore a white or grey top and dark jeans.
Suspect Met Victim in Local Bar
Detective Inspector Darren Reynolds said: “The suspect and victim were not known to each other but had spoken during the evening in a bar in Week Street.”
Police are following several leads to track down the attacker. They want to hear from anyone who witnessed anything suspicious in Week Street, Station Road, or Brenchley Gardens.
