Teen Sex Assault on Bus Sparks Police Hunt in Chatham
Police are desperate for witnesses after a 17-year-old boy was sexually assaulted on a bus in Chatham.
What Happened on the Arriva 145?
The teenager was travelling on the Arriva 145 between 4pm and 5pm on Monday, 20 March 2023, when a man, believed to be drunk, approached and inappropriately touched him. The suspect also made crude comments during the attack.
Heroic Woman Steps In
A woman onboard bravely intervened, helping the victim and forcing the culprit off the bus near Arethusa Road. Police want to speak with her to piece together what happened.
Suspect Description & How to Help
- White male, around 40 years old
- About 5ft 5in tall
- Round face, bald with hair on the sides
- Wearing jeans and a light brown coat
