Burglary Bid in Downswood: Suspect Targets Longham Copse Homes
Early Morning Break-In Attempt
In the early hours of Saturday, 18 February 2023, a suspect tried to break into several homes in Longham Copse, Downswood. The intruder accessed rear gardens and tried multiple door handles but failed to get inside. Police are investigating the incidents and checking if other nearby properties were targeted.
Police Seek Witnesses and CCTV
PC Maddison Jarvis urged locals to come forward: “We’ve carried out house-to-house enquiries, but there may be residents we haven’t spoken to yet. We’re especially keen to see any footage or images from home security cameras showing suspicious activity between 1am and 2am.” She added that those in surrounding areas might also hold valuable evidence.
