Teen Charged with Murder of 19-Year-Old in Ilford Stabbing
Detectives have hit a breakthrough in the brutal killing of 19-year-old Mohammed Mirza. A 16-year-old boy has been charged with his murder, following the stabbing in Ilford last November.
16-Year-Old to Face Juvenile Court
The teenager was charged on Friday, 21 August, and is set to appear at Barkingside Juvenile Court on the same day. Mohammed Mirza died after police rushed to Fullwell Avenue, IG5, responding to reports of a stabbing in November 2019.
Another Man Awaiting Trial on Murder Charges
In a related development, 21-year-old Shariq Khan was previously charged with murder and knife possession. He remains remanded in custody and is due in court at the Old Bailey for a pre-trial hearing on Monday, 28 September.
