Police are hunting two masked men after they battered their way into Horndean Tyre Services in the dead of night and made off with safes stuffed with thousands of pounds in cash.
Staff Assaulted Before Thieves Make Their Getaway
Just after 1am on Thursday, March 9, the pair attacked a staff member at the Portsmouth Road business, snatching his keys to break inside. The victim managed to escape unharmed.
Description of Suspects Released
- Both white and slim-built
- One around 6ft tall, the other between 5ft 8in and 5ft 10in
- Wearing dark clothes with faces covered
- Both armed with hammers
- One spoke with a local accent
The robbers fled the scene in a red car, leaving police scrambling for leads.
