Two Disturbing Attacks Shake Perry Barr

West Midlands Police have launched a full-scale investigation after two violent incidents rocked Perry Barr, Birmingham, in the early hours of Saturday, January 18.

A woman was raped on Walsall Road, near the bustling One Stop Shopping Centre and Perry Barr Railway Station. Meanwhile, another woman was attacked on Aldridge Road, suffering facial injuries. Officers are urgently trying to find out if the attacks are connected.

Huge Police Presence and Road Closures

Sections of Walsall Road were quickly cordoned off as detectives and forensic teams combed the scenes for clues. Aldridge Road was also sealed off to secure evidence. West Midlands Police have vowed to maintain an increased presence in the area over the coming days to reassure worried locals.

Police Speak Out on The Night’s Events

“Officers are investigating a rape reported in Perry Barr at 1:50am. We immediately sealed off parts of Walsall Road,” the force said.

“We also received a report of an assault where a woman sustained facial injuries on Aldridge Road. We are working to determine if these incidents are linked.”

“We understand the concern this will cause. You will see more officers in the area today and this evening. If you have any worries, please come and talk to us.”

The victims are receiving support, and police investigations are ongoing.
