Woman Attacked After Walking Dogs in Griffin Crescent Alley
Sophie Ali was walking her dogs between 10:30 and 11am when she was set upon by three yobboes in Griffin Crescent.
Brutal Attack in Quiet Alley
As Sophie passed through the alleyway, three random men sneaked up behind her and kicked her younger Labrador. When she tried to pull the dog away, they shoved her head violently into a fence, knocking her out cold.
She woke to find her dog lying protectively on top of her and no one around. Paramedics called the police at the scene. Sophie suffered grazes and bruises to her face but was discharged from hospital later that day.
Racial Motive Suspected
The attackers didn’t take Sophie’s phone or keys, leading police to believe the assault may have been racially motivated. Sophie described the three men as white and possibly in their late 20s.
Dog Tried to Defend Owner
Reports suggest the older dog bit one of the attackers while trying to protect Sophie.

“These low lifes like to brag about their disgusting attacks,” said a supporter. “Someone must have heard or seen something.”
