Portsmouth Police Hunt Woman After Elderly Victim Stolen From in Shop

Police are on the lookout for a brazen thief who targeted a 78-year-old lady in Portsmouth. The woman had her purse snatched while shopping, and crooks went on to withdraw over £400 using her bank card.

Bag Snatched in Broad Daylight

The theft took place between 11.30am and 11.45am on 22 November inside the British Heart Foundation shop on High Street, Cosham. The victim’s handbag was stolen, along with her purse and bank cards.

Officers have now released a photo of a woman they want to speak with, believing she may have details that could crack the case.
