Serial Arsonist Strikes Again in Gosport – Two Vehicles Gutted
Gosport is on edge as a serial arsonist has hit again, torching two vehicles in one night. The places targeted were on 1 Road and Little Woodham Lane, with both cars left completely destroyed by fire.
Smoke Fills Homes as Fire Spreads
One neighbour, Rhys Wiffen, described the terrifying moment smoke started seeping through the floor of his home. “I was watching TV and thought I was going crazy. Smoke suddenly started coming up through the floor of the 1,” he said. The fire brigade quickly arrived and used thermal imaging to ensure the flames hadn’t spread to his property.
Six Attacks in Days – Police on High Alert
These are the sixth and seventh attacks in just days, prompting police to boost patrols across Gosport. Fire crews and officers rushed to both scenes late this evening, but no arrests have been made so far.
Police Issue Urgent Appeal for Witnesses
Detective Constable Chris Hudson urged locals to come forward.
“We are appealing for information about these incidents. Did you see or hear anything suspicious? If you have private CCTV, please get in touch,” he said.
