Police Launch Urgent Search for Missing Wokingham Woman and Her Dog
Sharon Childerhouse Vanishes on Dog Walk
Thames Valley Police are urgently appealing for help to find 61-year-old Sharon Childerhouse, who disappeared while out walking her dog in Wokingham. Sharon was last spotted at 2:30pm near Cloud Stables, Arborfield, strolling with her loyal Springer Spaniel, Barney.
What She Was Wearing and Where She Might Be
- Sharon is white, with a blonde bob haircut and fringe.
- She wore blue jeans and blue wellington boots.
- Her beloved dog Barney, brown and white, rarely leaves her side.
- She has no mobile phone with her and often roams the rural Edneys Hill area during walks.
However, police warn she could have wandered far and may now be disoriented as night falls.
Police Concerned for Her Safety
“We are really concerned for Sharon’s welfare as she has been missing for several hours and is not dressed appropriately for the colder weather,” said Inspector Fiona Pearce from Reading police station. “She is due to take medication at 9pm, so time is of the essence. It’s out of character for her to go missing, and Barney is likely still with her.” “If anyone sees Sharon, with or without her dog, please call 101 quoting reference 43200369227. And if you think you see her now, please dial 999 immediately.”
How You Can Help
Residents in Wokingham and surrounding areas are urged to keep eyes peeled. Even the smallest sightings could be crucial in this urgent search.
