Firefighters Knock on 600 Doors in Somerstown High-Rise Safety Blitz

Hampshire Fire and Rescue Service have hit the streets of Somerstown, visiting more than 600 flats across five towering blocks this week. The mission? Keeping residents safe in Edgebaston, Tipton, Handworth, Wilmcote, and Ladywood House.

Fire crews teamed up with Hampshire Constabulary, portsmouth/" title="Portsmouth" data-wpil-keyword-link="linked">Portsmouth City Council, and Scottish and Southern Electricity Networks to deliver vital fire safety advice. The joint campaign shows their strong commitment to protecting people living in high-rises across the city.

240 Residents Chat with Firefighters

Over 240 residents opened their doors and spoke directly to firefighters. They got tailored advice, had all their burning questions answered, and raised any safety concerns.
