Shock in Manchester: A 14-year-old boy has been fatally stabbed in New Moston, sparking a murder probe.
Teen Dies After Stabbing in New Moston
Emergency crews rushed to Nevin Road just before 5pm on Sunday (8 June) following reports of a serious assault. Despite paramedics and an air ambulance attending the scene, the young victim sadly died later in hospital.
Four Arrested Within Hours
Greater Manchester Police (GMP) moved fast, detaining four suspects linked to the stabbing:
- A 37-year-old woman, held on suspicion of assisting an offender
- Two teenage boys, aged 14 and 16, arrested on suspicion of murder
- A 14-year-old girl, also arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender
All remain in custody as detectives dig deeper into the case.
Police Appeal for Witnesses
Officers are urging anyone who was near Nevin Road around 5pm on Sunday to come forward. A GMP spokesperson said:
“This was a brutal and tragic loss of a young life. We are appealing to the community – if you saw anything or have relevant CCTV, dashcam, or doorbell footage, please contact us immediately.”
