Police were called at 1.22am on Saturday 23 July to the A3054, Ningwood Hill, following a single-vehicle collision involving a van.
Driver Dies After Serious Injuries
The van driver, 45-year-old Matej Gruber from Newport, suffered serious injuries and sadly passed away at the scene.
Family Pays Heartbreaking Tribute
Family remember Matej as “an incredibly talented carpenter who specialised in shepherd’s huts.” They said,
“He was a devoted dad to Jessica Gruber and partner to Trudy Waughman. He will be sadly missed by both and by all his friends.”
