Firefighters Battle Blaze with Full Force
Firefighters swung into action at 9.20pm, with six fire engines rushing to the scene. The Kent Fire and Rescue Service used breathing apparatus, high-pressure hose reels, and main jets to tackle the fierce blaze.
Lightning Strike Hits Nearby House
In a separate incident nearby, a house damaged by lightning was inspected by crews using a height vehicle, adding to the night’s chaos.
Police Assist at Scene of Multiple Fires
Kent Police also responded to the emergency as the fire service confirmed “multiple caravans were alight in Rochester.” The full extent of the damage is still being assessed.
