Orpington Crash: Police Hunt Dashcam Witnesses After Horror Collision
Police are urgently appealing for witnesses and drivers with dashcams after a serious smash on Sevenoaks Road in Orpington.
Red Ford Ka Collides with Scania Lorry
The crash happened around 4.45pm on Friday, 25 September, at the junction of Sevenoaks Road (A21) and London Road. A red Ford Ka was heading towards Hayes when it collided with a Scania lorry.
Man in 60s Critical, Woman Injured
The Ford Ka’s passengers were rushed to hospital. A man in his 60s remains in critical condition, while a woman in her 20s escaped with minor injuries. Their families have been informed.
Lorry Driver Cooperating, No Arrests
The lorry driver is helping police with enquiries. No arrests have been made so far.
Police Want Dashcam Footage and Witnesses to Come Forward
Officers from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit (SCIU) are investigating. Anyone driving on Sevenoaks Road near 4.45pm who might have dashcam footage or saw anything is urged to contact SCIU at Catford on 020 8285 1574, quoting CAD 5200/25SEP20.
