15-Year-Old Zaian Aimable-Lina Stabbed to Death in Croydon Park

Teen Murder Shakes Croydon Community

Fifteen-year-old Zaian Aimable-Lina has been confirmed as the victim of a fatal stabbing in Ashburton Park, Croydon. Police were called shortly after 7pm on Thursday, 30 December, following reports of an assault. Despite officers’ immediate first aid and paramedics’ efforts, Zaian was pronounced dead at the scene at 7:36pm.

15-Year-Old Arrested, Later Released on Bail

A 15-year-old boy was swiftly arrested on suspicion of murder the following afternoon. He was taken to a south London police station and has since been released on bail, pending further investigation.

Police Appeal for Information

Detective Chief Inspector Richard Leonard, leading the Specialist Crime Command inquiry, said: “My thoughts continue to be with Zaian’s family and friends as they cope with this tragic loss. We are working round the clock to provide them with answers.”

Leonard added: “Zaian’s death has sent shockwaves through Croydon and London. He was just 15 with his whole life ahead. We need the community’s help to bring those responsible to justice.”

Superintendent Dan Knowles of Croydon’s South Area Command Unit urged locals to come forward: “This tragic loss has understandably caused huge concern. Our officers are on enhanced patrols. If you know anything, no matter how small, please talk to us.”
