Serious Injuries Reported After Collision
Dutch emergency services confirmed multiple “seriously injured” passengers after the train collided with construction equipment on the tracks in southern Netherlands. The crash happened near Voorschoten, a village sandwiched between The Hague and Amsterdam.
Front Carriage Ploughs Into Field, Rear Catches Fire

Train Services Suspended Following Crash
Dutch Railways NS immediately halted all train services to and from Leiden after the collision. Initial reports suggested the passenger train hit a goods train, but emergency services state construction equipment was involved.
