£70,000 Raised to Bring Xmas Joy to Vulnerable Kids

In just six weeks, over £70,000 has poured in to buy toys for children from low-income families, foster care, residential homes, refuges, and hospitals. The Met Police teamed up with local councils and schools to deliver the gifts throughout December, ensuring every child woke up with a smile.

Met Thanks Donors for Making Christmas Magical

Rebecca Pritchard, lead of the Met’s 1 Tree Appeal, said: “On behalf of the Met, I want to thank from the bottom of my heart everyone who donated. You have made a child’s Christmas.”

The appeal runs until 31 December, and it’s not too late to give. All money raised after Christmas will support vital projects giving practical and emotional help to vulnerable children throughout the new year.
