Massive Cannabis Farm Raided in Kent
Kent Police swooped on a commercial unit in the town early on Wednesday 1 May 2024. The raid uncovered a huge cannabis cultivation operation.
Three Men Caught Fleeing the Scene
Officers spotted three men leaving the back of the building and quickly detained them. The suspects, aged 33, 43, and 48, were arrested on suspicion of cultivating cannabis and electricity theft.
1,500 Cannabis Plants Seized
Inside the premises, police found over 1,500 cannabis plants along with cultivation equipment. The haul was seized as officers launched a full investigation.
Electricity Tampering Sparks Safety Concerns
UK Power Networks attended the scene after concerns arose that the building’s electricity supply had been tampered with. Their input was vital to making the site safe.
The three men remain in custody as enquiries continue.
