A post-mortem is still pending, but the stabbing is believed to have been a targeted assault. The quick arrests include two 14-year-olds and one 17-year-old, all held on suspicion of murder. The youngest was arrested at home in Cambridge around 11.30pm, while the others were detained near midnight in South Cambridgeshire. All three remain in custody at Thorpe Wood Police Station in Peterborough.

Police Urge Witnesses to Come Forward

“We believe there were members of the public at the scene who spoke with paramedics but left before our officers arrived,” said Detective Superintendent Carl Foster of the Major Crime Unit. “I am directly appealing for these people to make contact with us, please. I would also appeal to anyone with information to get in touch urgently.”
