Police hunt three men after horrific acid attack on toddler in Worcester shop
Detectives have released images of three men they want to question following a shocking acid assault on a three-year-old boy in a Worcester store yesterday afternoon.
Brutal attack in Worcester shop
The shocking incident unfolded around 2.15pm on Saturday 21 July inside Home Bargains at Shrub Hill Retail Park, Tallow Hill. The young boy suffered serious burns to his face and arm and was rushed to hospital for emergency treatment.
Police launch urgent investigation
Chief Superintendent Mark Travis condemned the attack as a deliberate, shocking act targeting a toddler. He said, “The incident will rightly shock the local community. We are conducting a full investigation to hunt down those responsible.”
Officers are still working to identify the exact cause and nature of the substance used in the attack.
Man arrested, public urged to help
A 39-year-old man from wolverhampton/" title="Wolverhampton" data-wpil-keyword-link="linked">Wolverhampton has been arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to commit grievous bodily harm and remains in custody. Meanwhile, police have released photos of three men who may have vital information.
Chief Superintendent Travis added, “I urge anyone who recognises these men or knows anything to come forward immediately.”
