Woman Mauled by XL Bully Dog in Norfolk Garden Horror

A terrifying attack rocked the quiet village of Brisley, Norfolk, when a woman in her 60s was savagely mauled by her own XL Bully dog in her back garden. The shocking assault happened at 3pm on Monday, sparking a rapid response from police and emergency crews.

Dog Escapes to School Car Park Amid Chaos

Police were called after neighbours heard the woman screaming for help. Arriving on Gately Road, officers found her being viciously attacked. In the chaos, the XL Bully broke free and fled to a nearby primary school car park, still filled with pupils and staff.

Thankfully, someone managed to secure the aggressive dog to a post while police scrambled to find vets to sedate the animal. Unfortunately, no vets were available to assist.

Police Make Heartbreaking Decision to Destroy Dog

With public safety on the line and the owner’s consent, officers were forced to put the dog down at the scene. A police spokesperson confirmed the grim action was necessary to prevent further danger.

XL Bully dogs, known for their muscular build and strength, have come under fire after a string of serious attacks—some fatal. In response, the government has announced plans to ban American XL Bullies across the UK.

Victim Recovering After ‘Distressing’ Attack

The injured woman was rushed to Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital where she is recovering from multiple wounds, none life-threatening. Inspector Diana Woodage described the incident as “sad and distressing,” noting the officers faced a harrowing scene upon arrival.

“The victim was in obvious pain and the situation was extremely challenging for our team,” she said.

The investigation continues as officials work to ensure safety in the community.
