Teen Stabbed to Death Near Crawley Station
Detectives are hunting for answers after a brutal stabbing left an 18-year-old man dead in Crawley this afternoon (20 February).
Emergency Rush to Malthouse Road
Police rushed to Malthouse Road, close to Crawley railway station, at 3.21pm following reports of a stabbing. Passersby and paramedics battled to save the teenager, performing CPR at the scene, but he was pronounced dead shortly after.
His family have been informed and are receiving support.
Suspects Arrested Following Helicopter-Assisted Search
An intense search, aided by the National Police Air Service helicopter, led to the arrest of two males: a 17-year-old from Worthing and an 18-year-old from Horsham. Both face murder suspicion. Additionally, an 18-year-old Crawley woman was arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender.
Police Appeal for Witnesses
Detective Chief Inspector Debbie White said: “This is a fast-moving investigation and we are asking anyone with any information about the incident to please come forward.
“We are treating this as an isolated incident with no threat to the wider community, though you will see more police in the area tonight as our inquiries continue.
“We urge the public to avoid speculation and respect the victim’s family at this difficult time. We are determined to find those responsible and bring them to justice.”
