Fatal Crash on A259 at Old Romney Claims Two Lives
Tragedy struck on the A259 near Old Romney just before 10pm on Tuesday, 11 August 2020. A BMW motorcycle carrying two men collided head-on with a grey Renault Megane car.
Two Men in Their 20s Die at the Scene and Hospital
The motorcycle was heading towards Brenzett when it crashed with the Renault travelling towards Dymchurch. Emergency services rushed to the scene, but a man in his 20s was pronounced dead on arrival. The second man, also in his 20s, was rushed to hospital but sadly died shortly after.
Police Hunt Witnesses and CCTV Footage
Kent Police’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit is probing the crash. Officers are appealing for anyone who witnessed the collision or has CCTV and dashcam footage showing either vehicle near the crash site to come forward.
