Fatal Crash in Dover: Two Men Dead After Lorry Hits Car

Kent Police are desperately hunting witnesses to a deadly smash on Dover’s A2 Jubilee Way.

Just before midnight on Sunday, 2 July 2017, a yellow lorry slammed into a black Nissan Qashqai heading the opposite way. The horrific collision claimed the lives of both men inside the car.

Tragic Loss on Jubilee Way

The car driver, a man in his 20s from Canterbury, was pronounced dead at the scene. A male passenger also died, but police are still trying to identify him and notify his family.

The lorry was heading towards the docks when the crash happened. Officers say enquiries are ongoing as the investigation continues.

Suspect in Custody

A 51-year-old man from Kent was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and remains in custody. Another man, 36, arrested at the scene has since been released without charge.
