Teen Girl Shot in Shocking Camden Drive-By
A teenage girl has been rushed to hospital after being caught in a brutal drive-by shooting in Camden late on Saturday night. Armed police and paramedics scrambled to Clarence Gardens, NW1, at around 10pm on August 14, 2021, following the chaos.
Frenzied Attack Sparks Large Police Operation
Officers sealed off a large crime scene after the random shooting. Witnesses say a speeding car roared past and unleashed five shots from an automatic weapon. One bullet struck the young girl, believed to be in her teens.
“I saw her fall and cry out in pain,” said a bystander who rushed to help. “There were about five loud bangs, then the car sped around the corner. I stayed with her, telling her she would be alright until the police arrived.”
Stabbing Also Reported Amid Block Party
Police confirmed that a man was stabbed in the same area while a block party was underway. A police helicopter hovered overhead, hunting for the attackers and their getaway vehicle.
Four Hospitalised After Camden Shooting
Emergency services found two victims with gunshot wounds at the scene, a man and a woman. Two more later turned up at hospital with suspected gunshot injuries. All four remain in hospital as investigations continue.
Police maintain a cordon at Clarence Gardens as the hunt for the shooters intensifies.
