Two Men Assaulted in Sittingbourne Carpark: Police Seek Witnesses

Police are hunting for witnesses after two men were attacked in a carpark near Sittingbourne High Street.

Victims Followed Then Pummeled

Just before 8pm on Monday, 4 November 2019, the pair were walking along the High Street when a group of youths started following them. The chase continued through St Michael’s Church churchyard and into the nearby carpark on St Michael’s Road.

There, both victims were punched to the ground and badly assaulted as they tried to defend themselves.

Youths Also Tossed Stones at Local Shop

The same gang reportedly hurled stones at a shop on the High Street at around the same time.

Police Plea for Eyewitnesses

PC Richard Cousins, leading the enquiry, said: “We believe there may be witnesses to this incident, but they have not yet come forward. Anyone who saw what happened or has information is urged to contact Kent Police on 01795 419119, quoting crime reference 46/212024/19.
