Two Pensioners Seriously Injured in Horror Crash in Laughton en le Morthen
Police are hunting for witnesses after a nasty smash left two pensioners fighting for their lives. The crash happened on St John’s Road yesterday evening (Monday 17 April) at 6:40pm.
Head-On Collision Between Nissan and Kia
A black Nissan Juke collided with a silver Kia Sportage coming the other way. The Kia’s passengers, an 86-year-old man and an 88-year-old woman, were seriously hurt and remain in hospital with life-threatening injuries. The Nissan driver also suffered serious injuries and is still in hospital.
Man Arrested Over Suspected Drink or Drug Driving
A 33-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol. Police are urging anyone who saw the crash or the vehicles beforehand to come forward.
