Colindale Avenue Shut After Late-Night Shooting Near Underground Station
Colindale Avenue, NW9, is CLOSED both ways following a shooting reported near Colindale Underground station last night.
Armed Police Rush to Scene
At around 11.20pm Friday, shots rang out close to the station. Armed officers were quickly scrambled to back up Met Police response teams. A large police cordon now blocks a significant stretch of Colindale Avenue as officers investigate.
Traffic Chaos as Road Closes
The closure is at the junction with Burnt Oak Broadway, leaving several buses stuck and causing major delays for commuters.
Witnesses Describe Intense Police Presence
- Bystanders reported seeing 10-11 police vehicles, including armed response units, plus other emergency services at the scene.
- The Met Police and British Transport Police have been contacted but are yet to comment.
