Police Urge Sexual Assault Victims to Speak Out After London Attacks
The City of London Police are hunting for witnesses and victims connected to a string of sexual assaults that rocked the heart of London last Monday.
Attack Spree in Central London
Between 12pm and 1pm on 16th October, several incidents unfolded across busy spots including London Bridge, Arthur Street, Cannon Street, and King William Street. Following a CCTV review, detectives have identified key individuals they want to question about the attacks.
Suspect Now in Custody
Police have confirmed the suspect is currently held, but the investigation is far from over. Detective Sergeant Matthew Alexander from the Major Crime Team stressed the seriousness of the offences:
“These incidents might have seemed minor to some victims or witnesses, but City of London Police take all sexual offence reports seriously, especially violence against women and girls.”
“If you have been sexually assaulted – no matter how long ago – please come forward. We will believe you, listen carefully, and support you every step of the way. Our goal is to bring offenders to justice.”
