Cops hunt thug duo after violent South Kensington robbery
Detectives in Kensington and Chelsea have unleashed CCTV images of a man they want to quiz over a brutal mugging in South Kensington.
Woman attacked and robbed in daytime assault
The shocking incident happened at 1pm on Wednesday, 21 March in Harrington Gardens, SW7. A 50-year-old woman was grabbed from behind by a man who demanded her rings. He yanked two rings off her left hand, shoved her to the ground, then snatched her handbag.
Suspects flee on scooter after stumbling and dropping evidence
The thug ran off but stumbled and dropped one ring. He hopped onto a scooter with a second suspect waiting nearby, and both fled down Collingham Gardens.
Two men wanted: Cockney accent and hi-vis jacket
- Suspect 1: About 6ft tall, wearing black clothes and helmet, Cockney accent
- Suspect 2: Also around 6ft, wearing a high visibility jacket
The victim suffered minor hand injuries. Police urge anyone with information or who recognises the suspects to call Kensington and Chelsea CID on 0208 246 0148 or tweet @MetCC.
