Hooded Thugs Flee After Homeowner Scares Them Off in Sandown
A gang of hooded burglars had a nasty shock in the early hours after trying to break into a home in Fairview Crescent, Sandown, Isle of Wight.
Thieves Caught Red-Handed Attempting Break-In
The trio, dressed in dark hoodies, jumped over the back fence near Sandown Bay Academy and sneaked into the homeowner’s garden. They tried to jimmy open the rear doors but were spooked when the light sleeper inside woke and confronted them.
Homeowner Gives Chase as Thugs Flee
Frightened off, the gang sprinted away, but the owner gave chase. Unfortunately, the burglars vanished before he could catch them. Locals report other break-ins in the Sandown area, raising fears of a crime spree.
Police Urge Public to Help Crack Case
Hampshire Constabulary confirmed they are investigating the incident. Anyone with information is urged to call Hampshire Police on 101.
