Man Hospitalised After Brutal Bottle Attack in Car
Warwickshire Police launched an urgent investigation after a serious assault early on Saturday, October 5. A man in his 20s was left with multiple injuries following a vicious bottle attack inside a car. The victim and another male were travelling to Birmingham when the attack unfolded.
Victim’s Dramatic Escape on A446
In a desperate bid for safety, the victim fled the vehicle at a layby on the A446 London Road near Holly Lane around 4:00 AM. Injured and shaken, he managed to walk 10-15 minutes across nearby farmland before being found by a passerby on Holly Lane in Wishaw. The good Samaritan immediately called an ambulance.
Police Hunt Toyota C-HR Linked to Assault
Detective Constable Jon Shand of Warwickshire Police CID revealed they’re aggressively pursuing leads to track down the suspect. He confirmed the attack is believed to be isolated, involving known parties, with no ongoing public threat.
The car involved is a distinctive Toyota C-HR, identifiable by a unique white emblem on the front. Officers believe the interior shows signs of struggle and are appealing to anyone with dashcam footage or who saw the victim on Holly Lane to come forward.
Victim Rushed to Hospital with Serious Injuries
The victim sustained wounds to his body, legs, and hands, and remains under hospital care.
“We are keen to identify the vehicle they were travelling in, which is likely to show signs of a struggle,” said DC Shand.
