Man Caught with Guns and Machete After Coventry Police Chase

West Midlands Police have snapped up a 21-year-old man and recovered two firearms plus a machete after a suspect vehicle was spotted in Coventry. The drama kicked off on December 23 at around 9:40pm when cops tried to stop a car believed to be using cloned plates.

High-Speed Pursuit Ends on Austin Drive

A brief police chase ended with the vehicle being abandoned on Austin Drive. Thanks to a sniffer dog’s hard work, officers found two guns and a machete nearby. The suspect was quickly arrested at the scene.

Serious Charges Loom Over Suspect

The arrested man now faces a slew of charges, including motor vehicle theft, dangerous driving, burglary, possession of an offensive weapon, and possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life. This bust is part of Operation Target, West Midlands Police’s crackdown on serious and organised crime.

Police Hunt Others Linked to the Crime

Authorities are still chasing other suspects connected to the vehicle. Investigations are ongoing, with CCTV and witness interviews playing a key role. Police urge anyone who saw the incident or has dash-cam or Ring doorbell footage to step forward.
