Serious Crash on Isle of Wight Sparks Police Hunt for Witnesses

Police are desperate for witnesses after a serious car crash on the Isle of Wight last night (Thursday, 17 September).

Crash Details: Blue Citroen C1 Ploughs Into Field

Between 9pm and 9.15pm, a blue Citroen C1 lost control and veered off Briddlesford Road, near the Combley Road junction between Downend and Wootton. The vehicle ended up in a field.

The driver, a 19-year-old man from Sandown, sustained serious injuries and remains in hospital receiving treatment.

Detectives want to hear from anyone who witnessed the crash or noticed any other vehicles in the area at the time. Dash cam footage could prove crucial.
